so it's becoming more apparent to me that mad young people in nyc are all about getting fucked up. which is totally cool with me.... but not if they're do NOTHING while they're sober or on their off-peak hammerfaced hours. i personally don't understand how you can afford to be a shitshow all day long week in and week out. not only is it unattractive but it's pretty much wasting time and energy. i'm not into the whole "why are we here?" epic question because there's no right or wrong answer, but with that said i certainly don't think the purpose of our existence is to be incapacitated at all times. at least DO something. i'm in full support of having a ball and getting fucked up but i think there needs to be a balance. people who are 'known' for being partiers in this city bore me to death. it's easy to get a room full of people for the sake of getting fucked up.

so i set the goal for myself to record bass today on my new track called "Leave You Alone." I'm amped on it and it has this Justin Timberlake 'cry me a river' vibe and i know mad heads are gonna love it once i mix it and figure it all out and put epic strings and harmonies. But instead I'm completely lazy and A.D.D.-ing all over the place. All I've been doing is drinking green tea and craving new Dexter episodes (Showtime series) to bring out the crazy bitch side in me that'll potentially motivate me to FUCK SHIT UP on this track.

it's been months since i last posted but fuck it. i've been meaning to get back on my writing game so here goes:

it's 5:17 A.M. right now and my feet are tired as hell. spent tonight dancing in pigtails and high heels for hours at a lil bar/club in brooklyn. turns out this super nice guy Nick (aka Catchdubs) was djing at the spot. his set was ill. i knew so many lyrics to the shit he was playing... his set was a fusion of so many 90s jams i love. i probably sound like a cliche dumb chick "DJ PLAYED MY SONG" but the man played Pharcyde and won my heart over forever. shit was bonkers tonight. i ended up running into this dude i went to high school with in Boston who's interning now for Fader mag. his attitude was unimpressive. not feeling it. [man-diva behavior is only warranted if there's talent behind it.] regardless i had a ball dancing (as always) and my girl had dudes on her ass all over the place. overall a legit time. i had the ill super long subway ride home and ended up meeting some beautiful spanish chick w/ diesel arms who told me she used to bounce/do the door for the club i had been to tonight. She told me one night @ the club she punched the obese bouncer in the nose for touching her ass - after which he then preceeded to call the cops on her - and she got off handcuff free since she had warned him she would deck him in the nose if he grabbed her ass. haha. i love boss bitches.

after my journey home i came back, climbed in bed, checked email and signed onto ichat and ended up talking to a friend. i sent him my latest track i'm working on and then he tells me that he should be my man. i'm so confused w/ my man situation right now. i'm happy being single but it seems a ton of dudes i DON'T want are after me and none of the guys i DO want are. i've been trying to focus all of my sexual/romantic energy into my music since nobody seems to fit my ideal sidekick/boyfriend role.

meh. time will tell i suppose.

so my x-mas was pretty on point. i worked all day. made great tips then some asshole came in and pocketed half me & my girl's tips somehow. motherfucker. i decide i need a drink after work and me and my girl go get hammered at the local pub near work. men bought me so many drinks and considering i didn't eat much i got fuckedddd up. come home wasted to find my pro headphone's cord dangling and my ipod missing.

NINE WEST is on point this season... plus with sale prices at $25 you really can't go wrong. some fun party/club wedges i enjoy - (not to be worn @ normal occassions unless your friends are funky)
